SKETCHBOOK PROJECT 2016

I had checked the mail this morning, and to my surprise, The Sketchbook Project book had arrived!

If you want to participate in  The Sketchbook Project click HERE
The Sketchbook Project is an ongoing, crowdsourced art library that  features 31,773 artists' books contributed from 135+ countries. Currently, The Sketchbook Project has a storefront gallery in Brooklyn, NY. and a mobile art truck, which goes on nationwide tours every summer.

The Sketchbook Project began in 2006 in Atlanta, GA and moved to New York City in 2009. Since that time, the small organization has grown into a worldwide community of more than 70,000 artists. By focusing on the intersection of hands-on art making and new technology, The Sketchbook Project nurtures community-supported art projects that harness the power of the virtual world to share inspiration in the real world.

I am an artist, and as an artist, my first endeavor is to complete and submit a full Sketchbook Project book for the nationwide summer tour of 2016. I have over a year to complete the book, front to back, and I am going to put forth my best art. The Sketchbook Project is a great outlet for exposure as well to have work digitized and stored as part of a portfolio. I will record my progression with this project via this blog, as well as through social media.

I have not chosen a theme yet. I am not sure I even will. I may just go with what inspires me as it happens. Thank you for your support, and thank you for following Entheo Zine!

MISSION STATEMENT

Enthno Zine's Mission is to bring the current art and culture movement  to the mainstream. Many mainstream news and culture sources that are outside of the "Visionary and Transformational" scene are not reporting the vast and interesting art and culture (as well as subculture) coming from it. This lack of coverage teamed with the variety of art, music, literature, poetry and culture movements stemming from it led me to create this blog zine.

Enthno Zine will cover the following topics:
  • The art movements related to it: Transpersonalism, Metamodernism, Futuristic Abstract, New Age Spiritual Art, New Surf Art, Classical Styles Revisited..
  • The music: Psytrance, Folk, Singer Songwriter, Protest music, EDM, Darkpsy, Industrial, metal and goth
  • Shows, Festivals and Movements
  • Artist Interviews and Insights
  • Opinions and Editorials regarding the modern art scene, both mainstream and underground.
Thank you for your interest in Enthno Zine!

If you are an artist, blogger, musician, producer, organizer or just someone who loves it or has something to say, please don't hesitate to visit the Facebook page or Twitter and let us know. Your thoughts, ideas, art or music may be featured in the near future!
